This is a stylish bag, black with gray trim, that doesn't give away the fact it's a gun bag. In addition to the carry handle shown in the photo, there are a pair of adjustable shoulder straps on the back. This bag can be worn like a backpack and can easily be mistaken for a guitar case. The main compartment is well padded. There are two rows of molle-like webbing through which six velcro straps (three per row) are threaded. Because these velcro straps can be adjusted left and right it possible to find a combination that suits almost any weapon. I use this bag to transport a Mossy 500 Tac which is 35-1/2" long and 2-3/4" through the stock and side saddle. I wouldn't recommend anything longer or thicker than this but I have had two of these guns in the main compartment with no problem. Any longer or thicker and I think the zipper will start to strain. The outer pocket is where the cons start to creep in although I don't consider any of them to be a deal breaker. The mag pockets are better suited to rifle mags than anything else as they are too deep to easily retrieve small items such as loose shells. Pistol mags tend to flop around inside the mag pockets and I'm worried about them banging together if I put more than one in a pocket. The pistol holster is really convenient as it means one less case to carry to the range (unless you travel with more than one pistol). It has very little adjustment other than the Fastex buckled strap. I wouldn't call it a thumb break as it takes two fingers to squeeze open. I carry a Defender sized 1911 in this holster and I wouldn't suggest anything smaller at the risk of the strap being too loose or the holster being too large. A pistol or revolver with a 5" barrel is probably the biggest I'd recommend for this holster. The elastic straps in the outer pocket are suitable for light objects such as pens and plastic flashlights but anything as heavy as a pistol mag or metal flashlight will slip out during carry. Above the business card pocket (nice touch!) is a rubbery emblem. The one on the bag I received looks a little different from the one in the photo (oval vs. rectangular) so read into that whatever you want to. I thought it made the bag look cheap and off brand so I removed it with a stitch ripper and installed a 2" x 6" velcro strip suitable for a name tape or flag patch (in stealth black, of course). Overall I'm very pleased with the way this bag looks and performs. I can easily sling it over my shoulder and carry my range bag with either free hand or I can carry it like a briefcase. Because the outer pocket is closed with a double zipper I can position the point where the two zippers meet over the pistol holster for quick access (suited for a right hand draw). Based on my experience I'd recommend buying a bag at least 3" longer than your long gun to make sure you have enough room. Other than a few adjustments, this bag is ready to go as soon as you get it.
