All the mounts for older mini's received mixed reviews, so I went with the cheapest. Followed one on the other reviewer's instructions and the mount went together smoothly. Used locktight on the locking set screws only. After 20 rounds, the mount worked loose. Brought the rifle home and applied blue locktight on both the upper and lower locking set screws. After 50 rounds, the mount is still tight. I did not locktight on the bolt that mounts to the receiver, so the scope mount could be removed. But with the tension used on the set screws, not sure the mount could be reattached. Not sure if any damage was done to the receiver's finish either. The scope is mounted high enough so the open sights can still be used. I installed an inexpensive Blackhawk cheek rest which works well when using only the scope. The scope mount is a compromise at best. But my old eyes do not do well with open sights. So this is a good inexpensive solution.
Pros: Price, Includes rings, Mounts above open sights
Cons: Takes time to set up properly
