First Impression

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MI Written on April 26, 2013
I'll need to update this review once I've installed it on my M1A, but for now it looks like a very reasonable purchase. The product itself is nicely machined and finished and the rails are properly spaced. The rough fitting test I tried seems good, but I haven't actually taken it to the range yet as it's still cold and rainy. I'm just not excited enough to sit in a downpour and go through sight in.

I'll provide the details of the install and range trip once complete.
Pros: Nice finish and Machining
Cons: Hard to tighten Large Knob...

Solid Alternative

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, PA Written on July 5, 2012
This is a solid mount once you figure out how to set it up. I have several leapers scopes and mounts and this was the most difficult to get set up properly. Instructions which are not included would have been helpful. On the brite side you could pay $100..0 more for a different manufacturers product
Pros: Cost
Cons: No Instructions...

Solid for the money.

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on July 10, 2011
Bought this for my Springfield M1A Super Match. My money was tight, but I wanted a good base for my rifle. For the money, this is a good solid mount. If you know what you're doing, it mounts easy and is rock solid. The instructions are a bit dodgy (I recommend using Sadlak's instructions), but with a basic (level) cradle and the right tools, it mounts well. I also insisted on a base that would allow me to use my iron sights. I got it. The "see through" groove will allow you to use the iron sights with most optics out to 200-250m. But, if you're using a large scope that requires a cheek pad, you may fing this difficult.
Pros: Easy mounting
Cons: Doesn't "square up" with the iron sights too well...

Cons: Not usable with any stock that has a forward rail...

Good mount

It took me a while to get the stripper clip guide of my rifle. But that's the rifle, not the mount.
Pros: Secure. Iron sights still visible.

Great Value

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on May 12, 2010
Great mount that kept zero perfectly. Was originally going to get the SA 4th Gen mount that just came out but opted to pick this up in the meanwhile. Now this is going to stay on the rifle and it only cost a fraction of what the SA mount costs.
Pros: Can leave mounted and still use Irons.
Cons: none...
