Mounting on a LR 308

by Todd, from United States, ID Written on March 30, 2015
This scope fit on the LR 308 perfectly. The scope mounts included made attaching the scope simple. There were no issues zeroing and holding zero. All of the adjustments were straight forward and easy. Besides that it looks great on the rifle....

Straight Scoop

by Geo, from United States, CA Written on February 22, 2015
Workmanship/Attention to Detail/Functionality are well above par... to the degree scope mount twist lock clamping plates are even spring loaded for ready installation/clamp down. Azimuth/Elevation adjustments are definite clicks... with knobs able to be to be reset to a "0" reading and locked. Reticle's central area crosshairs are fine (not to thick)with the thicker side bars set back not dominating ones view. Field of view is clear with good light gathering at all magnification settings... given proper attention is paid parallax and ocular lens diopter settings. Note... parallax setting requires firm finger grip to adjust. In an AR fit-up good rifle stability/balance is able to be maintained with the scopes 23.2 oz added weight... though scope's weight may be objectionable to some. Various reticle illumination colors are there to suit individual taste for use over provided non-illuminated black reticle. Reticle illumination brightness is adjustable with nominal disagreeable back glare at highest setting. Once sighted in settings stayed good through repeated shots and scope removal/re-installation, giving credence to staying locked in... time will tell. All up... this scope appears to be the one to beat in this price range... if not the next one....

It's ok, I guess...

by CW03, from United States, TX Written on February 12, 2015
For a scope under $200 you cant ask for too much. The scope is clear and the illuminated reticle is a cool feature but its not strong enough to be visible in daylight. The turret clicks are not very distinguishable and don't give a positive feedback per click. At maximum magnification the eye relief is very poor and you have to fight to get a clean look. I would not recommend using this scope above a .22 round or for anything that requires consistent fine accuracy. I did a "tracking" test on the scope and found the mil clicks to be nowhere near the 1/4" MOA per click the manufacturer is boasting. My advice is set the scope for the range you intend to shoot and leave it alone, the turrets on the scope after that are just for looking cool....

held zero.. but a little heavy but overall a nice scope
put it on my stag ar15 and shot 1 inch groups at 100 yards
For a 120 scope you cant beat it. I think im going to put
this on my 30-06 and see if it will hold up...

Best value

by outstandin, from United States, CO Written on September 5, 2014
I've convinced five of my friends to use this scope and believe it's the best value on the net. You want to be sure and buy the compact version of this for use on a M4 carbine. I also own the longer model and use it on a 20" barrel. Solid construction and easy to zero. Really like the zero reset feature of the turrets....

Leapers Scope

by TP, from United States, DC Written on August 29, 2014
Overall very good product. Green illumination could be brighter, red is clear at its highest setting. Longer in length than one would want for a scope to use on an AR or the like, but still worth it getting given the extra magnification at 12x. One thing it could use, however, which other scopes have but only seem to be at 10x magnification, is a basic laser on its side; this one doesn't have presumably because of the rings needed for its rail mounting....

SWAT Scope

by USMCBulldog, from United States, SC Written on August 10, 2014
I have used a lot of scopes and dot sights on different guns but this SWAT scope on my AR is truly the best. It is so accurate after getting your zero set up. The clarity is amazing and I like to be able to change my crosshairs to different colors with different backgrounds and lighting conditions. This Leapers UTG 3-12x44mm SWAT IE AO Mildot EZ-TAP Rain-Proof Riflescope truly is BANG for the BUCK....
