Great optic for the money

by Yote Downer, from United States, UT Written on March 26, 2015
This 3-9 scope is awesome. I installed it on my AR15 and it looks great and functions well. It was very easy to zero. It mounts really tight to the rail, which I like, but if you want to leave your rear flip up sight on, you will need an additional riser mount. The illumination is cool, but not necessary for functionality. Overall you will not be disappointed in purchasing this, keeping in mind this is not a high dollar optic....

So far excellent

by John, from United States, CA Written on March 22, 2015
This is too early to review but so far no problems. I had put 2 new Hawke Vermint scopes on my 10/22. Both were misaligned (not straight to the barrel) and horizontal adjust would not move the reticle. Both scopes! The best way to figure how accurate this is, is to use a bore laser. This UTG scope performed flawlessly. Ironically my bore laser cost more than my UTG Scope. The Hawke scopes were twice the cost of this UTG scope. The true test is to shoot it and bang it around to see if the reticle comes off center. This scope is full of features for the minimal cost, clear, compact, comes with quick detatchable rings and packs an outstanding lifetime warranty. This is my second one. So far so good.

I am not knocking Hawke. Their customer service was excellent. My other Hawke scopes are outstanding. You are getting a lot of bang for the buck with this UTG scope! Pun intended. lol...

Fun, durable, affordable, and designed for a .22 NOT A .223!!!!!!

by Scovan, from United States, WA Written on March 16, 2015
I love this scope. Have it mounted on a Sig Sauer 522. The only problem so far is that its hard to get the reticle turned off, even when it is off, the next time I go to use the gun, the battery is dead. Now I just remove the battery after each use. For the price you cant beat it, you get mounting bases, and rings included. The negative reviews on here are a joke. One thing to consider is that its a $100 scope. it has an illuminated reticle, which aren't known for best accuracy, due to he fact the dot equals a larger diameter as the distance of the target gets further away. The second, Who cares if it doesn't work well on an AR-15. These scopes arent designed to take the abuse from recoil of a .223 or larger caliber. If you are going to buy a $1000 AR-15, why put a $100 optic on it that is designed for a .22....
Pros:
  • Complet kit all in one place
  • Affordable, easy to install
  • attractive
  • Easy to Zero and Operate
Cons:
  • Battery life is not good
Best Used for:
  • .22 rimfire

UTG 3-9x32 Compact CQB Bug

by Gary Schafer, from United States, OH Written on March 14, 2015
I really like the scope and I did mount it on my S&W AR 15, but I could not use the rings that came with it, as they were to short to mount on my rail, I had to use my rings, have not had a chance to sight it in yet because of the weather, but looking forward to sighting it in....

Buggy on the bug

by Scott, from United States, CA Written on March 9, 2015
Received Leapers UTG 3-9x32 Compact CQB Bug Buster Rifle Scope about 3 weeks ago and used it to replace rear ghost sights for Hi-Point 995TS. had used a laser sight to set for 100' First few shots were low at 17yards (maximum indoor distance at local range). After a few adjustments made the pretty much dead on holes larger by taking out more and more paper to expand center-of mass, head, and neck shots. Put scope on to set fro 50-100 yards at longer range in near future. Works better than expected. Hope to report back at the longer ranges....

Great Scope for the price

by Spifire, from United States, MO Written on February 21, 2015
The clarity of the scope was very nice and the AO adjustment was as advertised from 3yrds and beyond. The lighted reticule was a nice feature but not really necessary, but effective in low light conditions. I did not have a problem with the lighted reticule drowning out the subject. Unfortunately, the scope did not work on my setup. It is a short scope and would have been great on my AR rifle but I already have a scope for it. On my air rifle I could not get a good eye relief. Also, the snap rings did not work well. They keep getting loosened and had a hard time keeping them locked. As I said, it would have been great on an AR type platform, just not for an air rifle....
Pros:
  • Excellent scope for the money
  • Well made, good price
  • Great focus
Cons:
  • Ring Locks
Best Used for:
  • AR Type Platform

Leapers UTG 3-9 Compact scope & rings

by Lamar, from United States, GA Written on February 18, 2015
I put this scope on the top cover of my Minimi (M249). It is short enough for me to fully open the top cover & the optics are clear & holding up to the full auto fire rate. I will also move this to a M4 platform then try it on my MAG 58 (M240) to see how it holds up under 7.62 automatic fire....
