Leapers UTG 3-9-32 Compact CQB Bug Buster Rifle Scope W/Rings & Amp Sun shade.

by Jay Laurie, from United States, VT Written on August 27, 2014
Out of the box the scope was a very nice set up. I only needed to put a Flat top riser mount on my rifle to bring it to eye level for me. I have used many scopes with mill dots so that was not a misters to me.
The mill dot card will be a nice touch for anyone who has never worked with them. I bore sighted the scope and was sighted in in 4 shots. The scope is a dream to use the sun shade is threaded so it wont just pot off when you are shooting. I like that when you are dialed in you can lock the sights in place.
I would recommend this scope to anyone....

don't be fooled

by mike, from United States, PA Written on August 13, 2014
i bought this scope because everyone was rating it so high, that was a mistake.i put it on a brand new s&w ar 15
with a bipod and fired over 200 rounds and couldn't get a group any smaller than 4 inches at 25 yards.i thought it might be the rifle so i talked my friend into taking the scope off his rifle and when i shot it with his scope i could cover 5 shots with a dime at 25 yards.i had the scope more than 30 days so i can only return it for repair.don't waste your time or money, this scope is junk...

Ring loosening fix

by Jasonwipf, from United States, TX Written on August 5, 2014
Great scope for the buck. Shoot 1moa on my AR with matched ammo no problem. The fast release ring clips can and do loosen. There is the FIX: to adjust the tension there are small grub nuts or Allen screws in the center of the clamp mechanism. Unscrew them clean out any oils or dirt threads and the little nuts with alcohol with pipe cleaner or thin paper towel rolled thin. Dry and coat with blue or small amt. of red thread lock. Adjust tension to your liking and let cure overnight. Shouldn't loosen now....

Amazing value

by LPCEightBall, from United States, OH Written on August 4, 2014
I've had this scope on my Ruger 10-22 for about a year now and am still amazed by the value. Flip covers, sun shade, and rings made it a no brainer when you consider the absurd cost of those pieces individually. Zeroed in over a year ago and still is after many trips to the range....
Pros:
  • value for $$
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • 30 - 60 yds

Leapers UTG 3-9 CQB Bug Buster

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, OH Written on June 3, 2014
I was amazed at the quality and features of this scope. Some one really put a lot of thought into this scope. I mounted the scope on my CETME 308 rifle using a UTG rail that cost me $28.00. My yard has flood lights on at night so I looked through the scope and could see surprisingly well enough to take out a threat in low light. The red/green option is a great feature but not even necessary in low light. I would use them though. The scope caps and batteries (2ea) come with it. The allen wrenches also come with it. The quick detach scope mounts are great but remember the have to be reversed, one on one side and the other on the othert side as the detach levers touch each other on the same side. This is probably the way it supposed to be anyway. The sun shield is a good feature however the front scope cap is kind of loose on the shade. But I like to have sun shades. Haven't zeroed the rifle yet with the scope to see how it holds a zero. Will follow up with a review on that. Get these scopes before the price goes up.
Pros: Excellent quality
Cons: none...

UTG Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TX Written on April 23, 2014
Mounted on a RR M4 carbine. Scope interferes with charging handle. After 100 rds, rings loosened up. Zero'd easily but at any distance and any mag, scope is blurry
Pros: Lots of "features", holds zero
Cons: mediocre rings, optics mediocre...

Great Scope for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TX Written on March 13, 2014
This is a great scope for general use and keeps you on budget. It's nice and compact and I like it on the AR-15 I own. The quick detach rings are easy to use and solid. Lighted reticle works good in all conditions. I have used much higher dollar scopes that performed no better than this one....

Works well on pistol calib. carbines

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on February 8, 2014
I have this install on to pistol calib. carbines. The scope is reliable with them and is my go to sight when my target is past 75 yards. It is accurate and is set up as an offset sight.
Pros: Easy to install

Very good product on budget

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on January 24, 2014
Excellent product for the price you paid. Solid construction, compact for 3-9 magnification. Hold zero pretty good.
Reticle is just okay, don't expect too much for that but it works fine.
Parallax is adjustable, which is a big plus for me.
I've mounted it on an AR rifle, but the rings came with scope is too low. I needed to use 1/2 inch riser.
Other than that I have no compliant.

Pros: Sturdy, solid build, very compact for 3-9 magnification scope, low cost, and adjustable parallax
Cons: Need a 1/2 riser for AR platform...

Full featured and extremely well built for the price.

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on January 9, 2014
When I got this scope in the mail yesterday I couldn't believe how well built and full featured it was for less thatn $100. All aspects of this scope are much more than I expected. The optics are clear and the ajustments have distinct clicks to them and the fous/zoom rings are tight and solid. This may be my go to optic if it can hold zero on both my AR-15 and my .22 Steyr AUG clone.
Pros: Zero locking, resettable Turrets, Adjustable Objective Lens, Crisp Clear Optics
Cons: Illumination washes out mildots on reticle....
