Safety Officer (retired)

by Larry, from United States, MD Written on March 23, 2015
Surprised at the quality of the unit. Well made, easy to install and the right height with the low mount for my MAK 90. The high setting results in a star instead of a dot but that is mostly addressed with placing the sight at the optimal position. Adjustments are easy but need to use a light touch with the set screws. Overall, well worth the investment, very satisfied....

Leapers Red/Green Dot

by Happy Grandpa, from United States, WA Written on March 22, 2015
I was looking for a decent low cost red dot sight for some M&P 15-22 rifles my grandkids are shooting. While I have not had this long enough to testify of it's lasting endurance, or lack thereof, I am impressed with its weight and construction. Controls are intuitive and easy to use. It has red and green dots with a large range of brightness. Very impressive for the price. I think it will do very well for the purpose it is intended....
Pros:
  • Good constuction
  • Nice qucik attatch mount
  • Has spacer for adjustable mounting height
Cons:
  • None noted so far.

Good low-priced red dot

by MB, from United States, CA Written on February 18, 2015
The UTG ITA Red/Green Dot is a good quality sight for the money. The controls operate well, it holds zero and the included lens caps are good quality. Its size is a bit large for a .22 rifle, but it serves that purpose well. It would be a decent low-cost optic for an AR....

UTG Red Dot

by Spook, from United States, FL Written on January 17, 2015
I have one of these on my Springfield Socom 16 M1A (7.62x51, .308) and it holds zero fine. It had set screws to lock the turrets once it's zeroed. I have it mounted forward on the front rail and the dot is bright and clear there. I have just ordered another for an AR15 build I'm doing. It's a great sight for the price....
Pros:
  • Price
  • Mounts quick and secure
  • Brightness settings
  • Quality, ruggedness
Cons:
  • none!
Best Used for:
  • any rifle platform

Good Dot Sight for the money

by Tom, from United States, VA Written on December 9, 2014
Title says it all. 2 different height mounts are a plus, as are the 2 color dots. Not the sharpest optics; as the brightness goes up, so does the fuzziness. Overall, this sight is more than adequate for the average shooter. I would recommend it....

UTG 4" ITA red/green

by ffquimby, from United States, WI Written on September 30, 2014
Product is OK. Not bad for the price. Looks sharp on a firearm. Wound be good for a shotgun or 22LR. The dot, whether it is red or green, seems to be fuzzy at higher settings. It is not so bad at lower settings. I do like the mounting system. It gives you flexibility on whatever you are putting it on. I have yet to sight it in on a weapon, so I don't know how well it would hold up. I'm giving this product 3 stars for a rating due to the fuzzy dot....

Doesn't hold zero.

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on February 20, 2014
I have (had) one of these scopes mounted on a Mossberg 12 ga. It's my primary home defense weapon as well as one that I shoot friendly competitions with. Every time I've taken it to the range, I've had zero it. I finally just removed it and went to a fiber optic/tritium bead sight.
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Doesn't hold zero...

Leaders utg red dot sight

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on October 12, 2013
I have read a lot about how blurry the dot is and I agree it's not the sharpest but when I moved the sight further down my upper rail the dot gets sharper and I notice it's not blurry in my left eye wich I have better vision in.so if you cannot get a clear dot send it back and buy a more expensive sight as I do have and see the dot sharper with .
Pros: Low price different mounting heights
Cons: Blurry dot but read comment...
