AR Match Rifle

by Clint, from United States, NC Written on November 25, 2014
This is a comfortable well formed pistol grip for an AR platform. For the medium to large hand, it fits like a glove giving a good positive feel and control of the weapon. Finger groves are properly placed. The but of the grip securely hold the hand engaged while the palm swell and girth take up enough space that the trigger finger is properly positioned between the tip and first knuckle, right there in the sweet spot....
Pros:
  • Feel and texture
Cons:
  • None

Great felling grip. I use them on everything they fit on.

by Mark Reynolds, from United States, AR Written on November 1, 2014
I bought one of these a while back and now I bet I have 10 of them. They are very comfortable and fit my large hands well. The factory size grips are for people with small hands. I love the storage compartment as well as the fact they fit well and look great on the rifle. UTG is sure making a good name for themselves without charging ridiculous prices like some manufacturers. Hats off to you guys! Thanks for a great product....
Pros:
  • fits well in hand
  • fits well on rifle
Cons:
  • Sometimes you have to add a small piece of steel in the safety spring hole for it to be tight enough
Best Used for:
  • AR Platform

Great AR Grip

by SR56, from United States, GA Written on September 4, 2014
I had one of these on my Stag Arms AR and loved it, so it was only natural for me to order another one to install on my LWRC M6.8-A2. I'm not sure if the mold changed, but the only installation issue is a little plastic lip in the middle of the area that is supposed to fit flush onto the area right behind the trigger well. I'll need to Dremel/file this out to get that flush fit....

Excellent grip w/ few exceptions, even sweaty slippery hands hold firm w/ the UTG Pistol grip. Grips feel reminds me of the P226 ergonomics.
Pros: Great ergonomics for big & small hands
Cons: Storage compartment cover loosens with use...

Leapers UTG AR15/M16 Ergonomic Combat Sniper Pistol Grip RB-TPG172B

This grip has such a molded feel you can hold the rifle with one hand. If there was anything that needed addressing it might be some minor mold marks that can be cleaned off with an exacto blade. I have these on several of my AR's and they give a feel of being personally molded to you're hand.
Pros: Feels Molded to your hand, great looking, well made, has a hidden compartment
Cons: None...

Safety does not work

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on October 19, 2012
I was really looking forward to instaling this grip on my Colt M4. Once I had it in place, my safety wouldn't lock in place NEARLY as smoothly as with the Colt grip. The safety kind of hangs
"halfway"between safe and fire. Sometimes it works sometimes not. The hole is too deep for the detent spring. Do I modify or not. Not safe.
Pros: Comfort
Cons: Not safe...
