First off, I am not one to review products on a regular basis. However, when I do take the time to write a review it is because the product either warrants a good or terrible review. So, it is with much enthusiasm that I highly recommend the UTG combat weapon tactical green laser.
I am a hardcore gun collector. My collection is vast and over the years I have acquired top of the line accessory products as well as lower end items. Within the last few years I have become quite a UTG/Leapers fan. I have purchased numerous UTG product ranging from a Saiga quad rail system to quick release 3x magnifier. However, of all the UTG products the SCP-LS269 is one of my favorites. I have several other green lasers ranging from Veridian to Crimson Trace. However, for the money this green laser can't be beat.
The packaging is superb and it comes with terrific instructions (not that you will need them because the item is so easy to set up). The laser itself is well constructed. I have two of them mounted on a S&W M&P 15 and an Arsenal AK-47. It has held up to the recoil of both firearms. The laser also comes with a pressure switch which is a nice addition (unfortunately the pressure pad is quite small and can be difficult to use for someone who has large hands/fingers. I am used to Streamlight pressure pads which are extremely large).
If I had one "call out" for UTG, it is the windage and elevation screws. First, they are really small and difficult to initially get zeroed. Second, I have found that the recoil or brushing the laser up against the inner wall of a tactical rifle case will cause the screws to move and lose zero. I have remedied this situation by placing small pieces of masking tape over the screws once zeroed. This prevents them from inadvertently being moved.
Overall, this UTG green laser is a great product for the money. I don't know of a comparable product in this price point that is as good. The couple of small issues can easily be overlooked for such a durable and price conscience product. I highly recommend.
Pros: Durable, Easy to install, Value, Bright
Cons: Windage & Elevation will sometimes lose zero; pressure switch pad too small
