Best bang for your buck

Here's the review and pics...http://s1229.photobucket.com/albums/...view=slideshow

This TacLight is extremly rugged and well made. I was surprised by the quality of this product. I know UTG makes good stuff but for the price WOW. Bright as piss and will easily temporarily blind an intruder or suspect. Heavy enough to use as a defensive tool if necassary. Easy assembly of Light, mounting of rail portion onto your weapon and fairly easy 1st time routing of the pressure switch is nice.

Now for the drawbacks..

The twist constant on portion is stiff and should be a seperate action and construction than the disassembly of the endcap imo.

There's also the issue of only a single endcap for this item. This causes a huge inconvenience to the consumer when trying to use as a WeaponsLight and a hand held light. To take this TacLight off your weapon you must completely disassemble the endcap from the main body causing the removal of the pressure switch cable thru the endcap and from it's routing under you rail covers. This is a HUGE problem... You might as well pull it off and stick it in your bag when being used as a hand held. -1 for the manufacturer for missing this. The product should include 2 endcaps so only front bulb section of the light must be removed to change to a handheld. These are the only two drawbacks to the item in my opinion.. well worth the $50 you spend..+1 for this item well done.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Constant on and switching to handheld from weap...

Good solid light

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on November 29, 2011
Over all this is a great buy. I have had mine for a couple years now. It's a solid light and very bright. I would recommend buying the extra switch PN# TL-PBSW099 so you can use it like a normal flashlight with on/off switch. And get a rechargable kit with RCR123A batteries and charger! I would recommend the rechargables with ANY light that uses the 123a style battery. Sounds like a lot of extras but the batteries are about $20 for throw aways! Invest early and this light should last a long long time!
Pros: Heavy duty, very bright, fairly versitile.
Cons: Burns through batteries, a bit heavy for weapon mounting....

Flashlight LT-EL338

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, KY Written on June 3, 2011
For the price this is a great light. It is a little heavy and requires a lot a rail space being that it is around 7" long. The pressure switch works great with the UTG Fore grip and it fits the bill for now. I may replace it at a later date and just use it as a handheld flash light.
Pros: Very bright and full beam, no shadows or holes
Cons: A little on the heavy side and not very compact....

Leapers LED Flashlight LT-EL338

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on January 6, 2011
Excellent flashlight. Provides a nice center beam with good peripheral viewing. Well constructed and should stand up well in harsh conditions.
Pros: Strengths - when mounted on a long gun, are the Picatinny/Weaver rails built into the extra flashlight body. Makes mounting and removing the light from a gun fast, convenient, and easy. Standard pressure switch is nice. With the additional body, can also be used as a traditional flashlight.
Cons: Weaknesses - when mounted on a long gun, are the flashlight weight, its heavy. The further to the end of the barrel that you mount the flashlight, the more heavy & cumbersome it becomes. Mount as close to the receiver as you gun will permit. Additional shortcoming is the button switch, requires constant pressure. This is especially awkward if mounted on a pump action shotgun. The 3 position (constant- on/constant-off/momentary on-off) ambidextrous switches that are usually found on pistol flashlights would be a big improvement....

Leapers Rail Mount and Handheld Tact Flashlight EL-338

Impressed. Allot of light for the money. I thought for that price I would end up with a cheap plastic toy but was surprised. Quality is there as is performance.
Pros: Allot of product for the money, was very impressed at the quality and the seperate body and switch to use as a reg flashlight. Has held up well mounted on a 870 Rem. Batteries even included....
