This is a piece of junk, I don't recommend for a "real" rifle, maybe OK for Airsoft or something like that, the 19 ounces is noticeable weight gain too.

Will not fit Springfield M1A Standard (stainless steel barrel). It was advertised to fit this model but did not. Looks cool, awesome price. But will not fit. Pro Mag M14 scope mount worked great, $99. Buy now, cry now. Buy crap now, cry later and have to spend the difference in shipping the crap back. Heed this warning Springfield owners.
Solid so far

Cons: nothing for the price

Took a chance, price was right. I mounted it to a Federal Ord M14. Nice tight set up. Mounted a Redfield scope and was getting under 1"MOA groups @ 100yd with handloads. Shot it again next day, same results. Fired around 50-60 rds total. Checked it after I got home and mount is still tight and secured. Much better than I thought for such a low price. I would buy again. I work for the military and would not hesitate to take this to combat, maybe be I'll give it a 1yr trial first.
Good, but not perfect

Pros: rigid, lots of rail space, mounts optics close to bore line
Cons: Not universal fit for all M14/M1A
Would recommend: yes

Out of box, will fit ONLY standard weight barrels. Can be modified to fit medium weight NM barrels, and possibly heavy weight NM barrels, but will use only 4 of the 6 mounting points. Includes the 2 position mount for the stripper clip guide. For scopes with short eye relief, you may need to use high mount scope rings in order to clear the rear iron sight.
