I originally bought the UTG buttstock assembly because the cost of the whole assembly was only slightly more than the cost of the buffer tube, buffer,and spring at other internet merchants. Those were the only parts I needed, and I was going to not use the stock shell itself. It turned out that stock shell was od such high quality, I decided to use the whole assembly on an AR-15 build.

Pros:  The only truly black A2 stock I have seen. Works great, buffer does excellent job. Trapdoor is solid and compartment is there for cleaning kit or whatever.
Cons:  Just needed a tiny bit of 3M tape to get 100% solid, not really a con.
