One of the best grips available

by KT, from United States, NM Written on March 16, 2015
This review is for the Leapers UTG MS QD Low Pro Lever Lock Combat Quality Foldable Metal Grip MNT-GRP002SQ. In my opinion it is one of the best grips available, especially for the price. I have a variety of different grips on various firearms. This grip however, has become my most preferred type.

I find folding grips to be the most practical for their ability to be positioned out of the way when necessary for either storage or where having it sticking out a snagging on things is less than desirable. I prefer those which lock into position whether folded or unfolded. The problem with most folding grips though, is that they often tend to have some play in them even when locked. This grip is rock solid in either position, which is why I most prefer it for firearms which have a bit more recoil. In my opinion it is THE grip to use for a tactical semi-auto shotgun. It's also great having the quick detach lever so that it can quickly be switched from one platform to another. Of course not every rail is exactly the same so while it might be adjusted to fit perfectly tight on one, it may be slightly more loose or slightly too tight on another. .

The machining and materials are excellent. The only feature which I'd change if I could would be the locking mechanism; you pull downward to unlock it and let the internal spring pull it back in to lock. I do like the thumb actuated locking button on some other folding grips, but that is simply a very minor issue as this grip can still...

Solid well built grip

by GTX440, from United States, IL Written on February 7, 2015
This grip is a very well built. Solid mounting quick detach lever that's easy to adjust and just as easy to remove. The battery storage compartment fits battery's or accessories great. I like the lower profile and slimline of this grip. If your not wanting a plastic foregrip, I highly recommend this brand....

Good Value

by Davo, from United States, CA Written on January 31, 2015
This review is for the Leapers Inc., UTG MS QD Low-Profile Metal Foregrip (MNT-GRP001SQ). It weighs ~ 7.6 ounces and measure 4.1" long with a 1¼" diameter grip. I also own the UTG MS QD Covert Combat Foregrip (MNT-GRP003Q) that is about half the size of of the Low-Profile version. It weighs ~ 4.0 ounces and measure 3.6" long with a 0.9" diameter grip.

Even though they are made overseas, Leapers quality control is top shelf relative to these two products. Both are light weight (for aluminum), very strong, precision machined aircraft-grade aluminum alloy....
Pros:
  • Quality
Cons:
  • MNT-GRP001SQ heavier than comparable polymer
Best Used for:
  • Personal preference

UTG Low Pro

by No, from United States, LA Written on September 12, 2014
Excellent foregrip. Attaches easily. Can be tightened with the included allen wrench if necessary. Very solid and tight. Good feel in the hand. Much preferable to plastic. I have it attached to a Leapers/UTG drop in quad rail and both parts could not be better. I think Leapers/UTG parts are way underrated....
