Pros:  Solid fit and finish, great looks, perfect function, rail option
Cons:  Don't like the open holes if not attaching rails

The forearm that came on my 870 tactical just did not look and feel right. In a word, it looked like cheap plastic. I wanted something more solid and that gave mt shotgun a distinctive look, and an option for mounting rails for attachments. The UTG forearm is exactly that. Mounting was easy and the fit was perfect. I would recommend getting a dedicated tool to remove the forearm nut even though it can be done with needle nose pliers, but why risk damaging the finish of your gun.
