Leapers UTG bipod

by Ron, from United States, AL Written on February 17, 2015
Works great on my Colt M4. It holds secure and doesn't wobble. Folds forward out of the way and my sling fits between the legs with out any problems. The only short coming is that to extend the legs the full length, which is under spring pressure, you have to use both hands to deploy. Still it is very sturdy even extended fully....

UTG bipod on ruger american

by chris, from United States, WA Written on January 26, 2015
Steady and versatile bipod! Love it!Put on my ruger and hit the range. Steady and comparable to sand bags.
Typically the quick retract button looks cool,so far haven't seen the advantage. The conversion stage can serve as an additional rail when not attached with the bipod....

Leapers UTG Tactical OP Bipod

by Bob, from United States, OH Written on January 6, 2015
For the money this bipod is great. Sturdy and metal and no plastic. I use it in yearly hunting as well as casual target shooting. It is plenty strong and reliable for this task. Maybe if I was a full time Marine sniper I would want a Harris but, I really think this would do the job. I use it on two different rifles. The swivel mount is permanently on a Varmint rifle and I use the Bipod on a LR308 picatinny rail. It moves easily between the two....

Not user friendly

by rsrhmoore, from United States, WA Written on January 2, 2015
The fit is just ok and it's sloppy. It doesn't allow use of sling swivel; no matter how it's oriented the legs hit the swivel. I would prefer something stronger and user friendly as in works as described....

Good for the money

by Toby, from United States, TX Written on November 17, 2014
If you wanted to spend 100$ for a Harris and another 20 for a rail adapter, you'd get an overall better product. That said, for the money, this pod performs the way it should. Note, legs spring load in and not out like other pods do. For the money, you should be satisfied with this is....

shooter/collector

by Don, from United States, VA Written on September 25, 2014
After using Harris bipods for years, I gambled on the Leapers China-mfg knockoff. Quality is excellent and a reasonable price. I have both the short and tall TactOp bipods and each works well. However, I am a recreational shooter and have not put these through law enforcement or military stress tests. The good news is Optics Planet doesn't sell junk and back their products....
