I would not buy again

I must have gotten one of the experimental models, could not keep it together. Of course I shoot 30-06 so that is certainly one reason. However two stripped (and one came bent) screws and having to replace the entire front mount proved the value of the metallurgy (I'm into it for over $700 now). Reticle comes loose after 30 shots, rear band came off and won't stay tight. I'm going to sell it cheap and buy a MVA Winchester 5B. Better value, made in the USA with American steel, although a bit higher cost... well worth it.
Pros: Absolutely fantastic glass
Cons: Hardware is very, very poor...

USMC Sniper Scope

S/N of my scope 66X and they mfg seems to have worked out all the problems of early models .The customer service is fast to respond and appears want to make any problem whole. Glass is very good with fine crosshairs . Did use Steve Earl mounts and screws rather than the provided mounts on my 03A1 springfield.
Pros: outstanding customer service
Cons: so far no problems ...

Leatherwood 8X USMC Sniper Scope

I bought this scope to use on a classic Winchester 1885 target rifle.

Optically, it's very nice, and more clear than any other 3/4" tube scope I have. The plain crosshair is fine enough for shooting small groups when I do my part.

The negatives are minor, but should be addressed...(1) out of the box, the springs in the front and rear mounts are overly strong, and the plunger in the front mount needed to be de-burred before the tube would slide smoothly in the mounts. (2) the windage and elevation turrets are mis-marked. The micrometer turrets have 25 divisions on them, which means that there should be 4 full turns between "0" and "1" on the micrometer barrel, but the barrel is marked with 5 divisions instead of 4.

This can be pretty confusing if you are trying to record sight settings for different distances, or different rifles, but if you do all your shooting at one particular distance it's not an issue.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with this scope...it is a very good copy of an original, with better optics, and it just looks "right" on my old rifles.
Pros: Crisp, clear optics, better than expected finish
Cons: Overly strong springs in the mounts...
