Simply incredible

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, NJ Written on December 27, 2013
The clarity at full power is a beautiful thing. Put this on my 308 Savage, didn't need a rail nor high rings. Can see the bullet holes in the paper at 200 yards. This scope replaced a Simmons. No need for a spotter scope!!!!
Pros: Price, clarity, durability
Cons: none...

Good for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, VA Written on July 17, 2013
Very good for the money, great eye relief which was a welcome surprise when it came in. They could have done a better job with the elevation and windage adjustments, making it easier to zero. I love the quick calculation for distance they have setup, takes a bit of practice but is easier then figuring it from mildots.
Pros: eye relief, cost, clarity
Cons: features, size...

Nice Long Range Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 4, 2013
I set this scope up on my Ruger 308 American Bolt action Rifle. I was shooting inch groups standing up with Gun to shoulder at 120 yards with a cheap 147 grain Silver Bear Bullet. I doped my scope for 330 yards and shot a 3 inch group and immediatley went out to 400 yards to shoot a 4 inch group just high of center. THis scope with allow a shot on any letter of a stop sign at a half mile no problem. Good scope in my opinion!!! I want to shoot at about 600 yards and this scope will handle it!! Happy Shooting!!
Pros: Clear Crisp Image and Focus...

7-30x50

If you are shooting and know anything about how scopes work then this is the scope for you. If you are a beginner who has never tried a professional shooters scope and know nothing on parallax etc., stick with a Simmons or Burris.
This scope is as clear as the MArk V Leopold at 1/4 the price. Very nice and holds the zero throughout the maginification range.
Pros: great quality, price and great optics, especially at this price!
Cons: Not as quick to change distances as a Leupold....

I have heard about leatherwood scope since I was a kid. This one turns out to be a very good, affordable high power scope built to last.
The people at Planet Optics went out of their way to get this scope to me in a hurry. Thumbs up on the services at Planet Optics!
Pros: Great quality to amtch a scope 4 times the price.
Cons: Careful on the mount system. Rail mount only for any adjustment...
