I have been waiting to buy a good digital camera. And when I seen this one I knew it was the one. And I have not been disapointed. Its simply one great camera!!!

I have had this camera since they came out and I love it. I gave up my trusty Minolta at last and went digital. I didn't think there was a digital SLR that could really take crisp, professional quality shots. This camera proved me wrong. Amazing detail in each shot, you won't believe it at first until you actually see your own work. It also makes movies which my old Minolta did not do. I have a new exhibit now with all photos from the V-Lux 1. If you are interested in this camera, buy it. You won't regret it no matter what level of photographer you are, from beginner to pro.

This camera is a surprize, a good one. Look into it. It's not a professional camera, but it is top-of-the-line serious amateur. It's not possible to make this choice from photos and price. Hold it, use it, look at the Leica images! I am a professional photographer, using Leica M and R, but for privately capturing travel scenes, when I do not want to carry lenses, this is tops, and I've tried and owned (past tense) all its competitors.
