These binoculars are definetly worth every penny. I purchased them before my deployment and so far after 10 months of abuse being bounced around in a hot/stuffy humvee, stepped on by my gunner multiple times, thrown left and right, perform flawlessly. The lens caps are easy to lose, i lost mine after about 5 weeks, but i have yet to scratch the lenses. The outer rubber coating makes for easier grip when wearing NOMEX gloves, which are mandatory in theatre, and will not reflect light. I have depended on these binos on uncountable occasions and I am sure I will be able to use the same set beyond my next deployment. A must for any hunter or troop.
