I also highly recommend this scope. Superior optics, very powerful. The tripod could be a tad stronger, but it is definitely useable.

Scope is used for bench shooting spotting

Pros:  greta clarity and excellent light gathering
Cons:  tri-pod is very shakey and not usable at higher power

I recommend the scope highly. Do not waste your time getting the tripod kit. The tripod is of low quality which you likely will never use after one try. It cannot handle the size of the scope.
