Overall I like the scope and am happy with it. But I'm not sure it is worth the money I spent.
Installation on my Colt M4 Carbine was very easy. I like the eye relief too. For almost 3 inches, you don't have to get up too close, which is nice.
The CM-R2 reticle is custom made for .223 Remington, so thats nice. I havent tried it at longer ranges yet though (it goes to 900yards, where youre
basically just lobbing bullets in). As for the Illumination, I really could not tell it was illuminated until #5, #6 and #7 (in an indoor range). According to the manual, the first two positions are night-vision compatible (but thats not much use to me).
Each click of the illumination control is a half-step between numbered settings. Between each numbered setting is an off position. Which means from 0, you have to click 10 times to see the illumination (since #5 is the one that I first saw any illumination) and 14 times to the max setting. Actually, Im not sure I like this convenience feature of theirs. But I guess Ill eventually get used to turning it off by one click instead of backing it all the way to zero.
The DeltaPoint reflex site is nice. It turns on and off automatically, so that saves battery. But, sighting it in proved difficult with the tiny star hex key and my big man-hands. That dainty little wrench kept slipping out of my fingers. And didn't seat very well into the top (elevation) screw, but it did seat well in the left (windage) screw. It took me 60 rounds with ...
