Pure awesomeness!!!

by FirstAR15, from United States, CA Written on August 19, 2014
I have the 3x-9x with illuminated TMR and I have to say wow! For such a great value from Leupold you get such an amazing product. I was looking for a fair priced scope from a well known brand that was also light weight. This is a perfect combo for me at the shooting range of 100 yards and as my part time hog gun....

First ever Leupold scope that went bad right out of the box.

by canuck, from United States, FL Written on July 31, 2014
Bought and sold many many Leupold products over the years. This one was bad right from the get go. I do not mind waiting a month or so to get a repair on a scope that failed over time or I have broken, but when new right out of the box is not so good. I purchased the fire dot model combo with mounts at around $500. The electronics were a dud right out of the box and the green dot was almost not visible. Spoke with a service rep and he had me return it via UPS, at my own expense. Five weeks later I received the scope back and the electronics were replaced and worked fine. That is a long wait for a brand NEW SCOPE OUT OF THE BOX THAT WAS nfg. But when I installed the scope and Leupold mount on my flat top Ar15, I could not elevate the turret beyond 350 yards when sighted in at 100 yards. I work part time at a gun club and sometimes install and sight in 3 scopes a day. My other AR series Leupold scope will elevated to the full 650 yards. Another problem and the customer service rep walked me around some checks and said return it for service. This time they paid the UPS return. That was two weeks ago and the clock is still ticking. Will it take another 5 weeks to get my new scope repaired? How about 2 1/2 months total wait? I should have cancelled my payment initially....

Great scope for 100-300

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on February 17, 2014
I needed a mil/mil scope for 300 yard target shooting with a 17HMR. This is a perfect match. I can repeatably adjust the turrets and expect the bullet to land precisely where I want it.

If you want to practice long range with a rimfire or hunt with a centerfire inside 300 yards then this is the scope for you. The view at 500 and 750 looks clear and bright but I could not shoot that far. YMMV
Pros: Value for money, mil/mil adjustments
Cons: for the money, nothing...

Mark AR 3-9x

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on November 26, 2013
Absolutely the best scope for the money, bar none. Lighter weight, better features, and great glass. I like this scope much more than the similarly priced Nikons, Burris, and Weaver scopes, I just wish it had more magnification for shooting 400 yards and beyond.
Pros: Quality, Features, Price
Cons: Wish it was a 3-12 or 3.5x10...

Great Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on October 1, 2013
I chose this scope for my SCAR 17s because it is light weight, has a good eye-relief range, an illuminated reticle, Leupold warranty, good magnification range for hunting and longer range shooting, and was a good value. I did have an issue with my reticle (one of the crosshairs had a jagged edge). After contacting Leupold, I received a shipping label and sent the scope back. A little over a week later, they sent the repaired scope back. Great customer service.
Pros: Light weight, has a good eye-relief range, an illuminated reticle (FireDot Version), Leupold warranty, good magnification range for hunting and longer range shooting, Relatively good value
Cons: BDC turret is marked for .223. Custom turrets are available from Leupold for $60....

Nice optic and customer service

I purchased the Mark AR MOD 1 3-9x40mm FireDot TMR Reticle 115370 w/Mark 2 IMS Integral Mounting System. Good purchase and quick delivery by OpticsPlanet. I also purchased the combo at a certain price and before it was delviered OpticsPlanet lowered the price by $30.00 I contacted them and they credited my account just as fast. Quick and easy install(obvious.) First time out put 120 rounds on paper. Sighted right in however back mounting screw came loose it seems pretty easy, no problem easy solution for that. Scope is clear and I had no problem seeing bull's eye at 100 yards. No vise or rest and the scope did very well. Very pleased so far. The system is mounted to a New Daniel Defense 5.56 "not broken in" so I would say the scope and mount again did very well considering each shot was balanced on the magazine of the firearm and steadied by my two hands. 100 yard indoor range, shooting a siloute with a shoot and see target on center mass, grouping was very very good, bull's eyes and head shots. Firedot aspect of the scope is sweet! The lowest setting "indoors" is the perfect size for the bull's eye at 100 yards. The firedot is great for quick target acquisition. I feel very confident in the scope. I also spoke to Leuplod on several occasions and the tech support is on the ready for any questions you may have. Again very pleased so far with the service I received from OpticsPlanet and Leupold. We will see how the scope fares over time but I don't expect to see...
