Leupold Quick Release Rings for sure

by JoeHill, from United States, FL Written on January 25, 2015
I've used these rings for years now on all my scope mounts. They're sturdy, robust rings that mount with a solid firm mount hold. I'm a big fan of the quick release rings, as you just never know when you'll have to remove them. As the saying goes, "you can think of a handful of reasons you'll need them, but 50 things you can't think of".
As an added bonus, the support I've received from the folks at Leupold is unsurpassed! I've had issues in the past with some of their products; they've quickly solved and/or replaced with no problem....

Rings work well

by bigDick, from United States, CA Written on January 21, 2015
Works well with modified Weaver Rails. Scout scopes and such. The quick release is a good solution to exchange long distance scopes. For the lower profile CQB type of scope on odd style rails.
It's always a pleasure to get what you order from Opticsplanet:)...

Leupold Quick Release Weaver Style QRW Rings

by Bill, from United States, OR Written on January 13, 2015
If you want an American made product that is rugged and works as advertised, buy Leupold! The scope returns to zero when detached and reattached with this set of quick release rings. The all steel construction is somewhat heavy. When compared to aluminum rings, I think the added weight of these steel rings is worth it if you want a heavy duty set of rings. With the recoil of a 5.56, these scope mounts stay tight. The matte black finish is even. The rings were concentric, so I did not have to lap them. I bought these when they were on sale. I would put them in the same class as more expensive Warne Maxima Quick Detach Rings, at about half the cost. I highly recommend these quick detachable scope rings....

Easy Scratch Free Mounting

by Bob, from United States, OR Written on December 29, 2014
These Leupold Quick Release Weaver Style QRW Rings were used to mount a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire Riflescope - 3-9x40mm w/ BDC 150 Reticle on a 10/22 Takedown. They worked perfectly!
To prevent scratching the scope when mounting the rings, cut a strip of plastic from a milk jug (NOT a water/pop bottle) a bit (1/2"+) wider than the mounts and long enough to wrap over the scope body, press the mount on over this and position, then remove the plastic strip! No scratches!...

Former Sporting Goods Owner

by M. Garrett, from United States, TX Written on December 26, 2014
I have used these mounts for many years, and they still are the best for the money when using weaver or pica tinny style bases. Solid and reliable to move from one rifle to another. Using a Leupold Mk4 2.5 - 8 lighted reticle 30mm scope , and currently on Savage LWH 6.5 Creedmoor, and moveable to my T3 Tikka Lite 308W which both have EGW bases that I bought from Optics Planet. Super service and always reliable. Thanks O.P....
Pros:
  • Repeatable moveability
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Any Weaver Style or Picatinny style base.

Excellent!

by Steve T, from United States, IL Written on December 23, 2014
Really great scope rings especially for the price. The quick release lever's work very well and my scope goes right back to zero every time on my Weaver rail. I use the Leupold rings to mount a Vortex scope on a Ruge10/22 Takedown. I needed to be able to take the scope on and off quickly to store the Ruger and it's backpack. These quick release scope mounts are fantastic....

Stronq - clean lines

by CDR C, from United States, TX Written on December 14, 2014
Until a couple years ago, I was not a fan of removable mount / rings. Since then, I am now a convert. The Picatinny (Weaver) rail has proven itself to me as the simplest, most universal, most flexible platform of is type. And just like I have almost exclusively settled on Leupold scopes, I am similarly a fan of the Leupold QRW (Quick release Weaver - get it?) rings. Great fit, finish, and very secure. Use an optic on different platforms, OR switch optics on a platform to suit the specific purpose at the moment (think, 3-9 standard scope for day and intermediate range; 1-4x illuminated for close-in / low light / indoors).

Bottom line - jus buy them and use them properly, you won't be disappointed....

Worth the money

by birddog, from United States, IN Written on December 2, 2014
Used these to mount scope on my new Remington Ultimate Muzzle-loader. They worked really great and even had the gunsmith comment on how well the rings were. They hold up very well for the recoil on the muzzle-loader and I do not have to worry about the scope ever coming loose. I would recommend these for any gun....

Very useful

by KS, from United States, CA Written on October 7, 2014
I leave these rings on a Leupold fx 4x33 for a few 22s. Its makes it very easy to switch the scope on to a different rifle depending on which one I feel like shooting that day. They fit the scope perfectly and stay tight when mounted on the rail. Going to put these rings on all my Leupold scopes....
Pros:
  • easy on and off
Cons:
  • none yet
Best Used for:
  • Multiple rifles with few scopes

Leupold Quick Release Weaver Style QRW Rings

by Dale, from United States, WI Written on August 31, 2014
quality product, easy to mount and align, easy to lap. Perfect mount. These rings are very sturdy and stable. Compared with some of the lesser brands that have a quick disconnect feature, these are much more elegant in their execution and details. One caveat about these is the design of the top strap to base mating area. The top strap actually has to wrap itself around your scope's main tube. It requires quite a lot of pressure to "snap" it into place as the directions call for. I was hesitant to put this much force against the tube, but after I got the first one on, I man-handled the second one into place....
Pros:
  • Sturdy Built
