Photo image quality is quite nice for a trail camera. The LED's provide great illumination for night photos. The hand controller uses a rechargeable battery which lasts several weeks per charge. I assume the camera actually does not use a shutter . . . if it does, it is completely, amazingly quiet. Daylight photos are well exposed though a bit contrasty. Night time photos have a very pleasant look with animals outlined in the LED lights. Wish Opticsplanet would allow uploading images - I have some really cute raccoons, opossums, and foxes! I have not used the video function yet. My camera has been rained on almost every day for three weeks, and I have had absolutely no problems. It seems quite rugged and well sealed. All in all, I am very happy with the purchase, and I recommend this camera highly.
