Needed mounts for a 1979 Browning BBR 25-06. I always go with Leupold -- both for mounts and scopes. Called them about fitment for the subject rifle, and they directed me to the Winchester Model 70 reverse rear setup. The fit was perfect, but some (not all) of the screws were too long. So it was either cut 'em down or use other ones -- which I did. Can't blame anyone for this. The rifle has been out of production for about 30 years. Just be aware that recommended fitments for older firearms always work, but you may need a few different mounting screws.
