Use a torque screwdriver to screw in the front mount. Then put the bottom front ring into the slot, and using a 9/16's wrench, firmly turn the ring 90 degrees (a "quarter turn"). Mine did so with a medium amount of force, and landed perfectly in line. And that's it. Mount the rear mount and set the rear bottom ring loosely tightened. Then mount the scope and top rings and test for eye relief. Bore sight. Go to range and sight in. Go hunt something.

Pros:  You can center the windage at your scopes mechanical or optical center
Cons:  I can't see how you can do this without torque on the tube
