This is the first rifle scope I have purchased. Mounted on Ruger Mini 30 Tactical. Zeroed in and was able to shoot 1 1/2" groups from 50 yards. Great scope for this rifle! leopold is a well respected manfacturer of optics. This one does not dissapoint. Priced very reasonably for this quality of scope. Would highly reccomend....

On my 45-70

This makes the third Leupold that I own. Nice fit and finish that you expect for a scope in this price range. Mounted it on H&R Handi-Rifle chambered in 45-70. Was looking for something rugged, since this rifle "ate" a cheaper scope after 35 rounds. Have fired 45 rounds so far with the Leupold and it's still on the money....

Great scope for te money

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 16, 2014
You can't beat this scope for an entry level 1-4x. Leupold makes quality products and stands behind them. Only gripe is the rings to mark zero on the turrets don't "click" into place - Makes me nervous they might move, but they haven't so far after ~50 rds of 7.62, so I guess it's GTG.
Pros: Brand, warranty, good clarity
Cons: Entry level...

Great " Both eyes open" scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, PA Written on October 7, 2013
I have a number of Leupold scopes, but not a 1 power. Bought this to replace a Weaver 1x3 I sold The Weaver is a very good scope, but I was mounting this scope on a new Colt Comp. rifle, so I decided to spend the extra $ and get the Leupold. Not sorry. Great scope, clear, bright, Leupold warranty. Weaver is very good, Leupold is better.
Pros: Every reason you buy a scope
Cons: $, but, in this case you get what you pay for...
