Leupold VX-2 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope

by Bosh, from United States, CA Written on November 23, 2014
A fantastic scope for the money. Actually.. a fantastic hunting scope period.
Holds zero perfectly, the clicks are accurate and consistent. Optics are very clear and bright.
The zoom control ring operates smoothly if not somewhat stiff, which I like. It won't move on you unless you want it to.
The only thing I really don't care for is the focus adjustment doesn't have a lock ring. it hasn't moved on me so it may be a non issue.
And with a Leupold lifetime warranty.. well you just can't go wrong with that....

Leupold VX-2 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope

by Bubba, from United States, VA Written on October 30, 2014
Purchased the Leupold VX-2 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope for a new stainless Browning Lever Action with .308 caliber. The matte finish looks great! This is my second VX2. Great light gathering quality which helps early and late in the day. I like the Leupold Lifetime Warranty as well, but may never have to take advantage of it. I mounted my previous VX2 on a Remington 700 in .270 caliber about 5 years ago and it has served me well. I have taken a couple of falls while deer hunting with it on the side of a ridge in rugged terrain and still held its zero. Looking forward to getting the new setup in the woods in a few weeks. With a good piece, and a well sighted in scope, any missed game must be the fault of the shooter!...

Best bang for the buck

by Blueticker, from United States, GA Written on September 13, 2014
The Leupold VX-2 3-9x40mm rifle scope has the be the best scope out there for less than $300. The clarity is amazing. The lifetime warranty is unbeatable. Leupold's customer service is second to none. I have owned many other scope brands through the years, but none can come close to the VX-2....

VX2 LR Scope

by Wellman00, from United States, WA Written on September 7, 2014
This scope is excellent for the price. The reticle has dots that very closely match most rifle ballistics. I have used ballistic programs to adjust the distance that the rifle is zeroed. And that gets the reticle even closer. For example moving a zero to 197 or 205 yards instead of 200 may be enough to line up the reticle dots even closer to matching the trajectory of your caliber/bullet combination at longer ranges....

A solid quality scope at an affordable price

by tgltexas, from United States, TX Written on September 3, 2014
I'll admit up front that I'm not the biggest fan of Leupold scopes. Nevertheless, the VX2 was the perfect choice for my 10 year old daughter's first centerfire rifle. It's a lightweight quality scope with excellent eye relief and the glass is pretty decent for this price point. The rebate made this a deal that I couldn't pass up. I mounted it on a Savage Lady Hunter in .223 and off to the range we went. She was happily punching tight groups in no time. In fact, I liked the scope so much that I almost bought a second one. Thumbs up to Leupold on the VX2....

Best scope for regular hunting rifle

by sj, from United States, CA Written on August 24, 2014
Bought this for my regular hunting rifle in 30-06. The clarity is great at dawn and dusk. It is really hardy. Used it with the Leopold bases and it holds zero through traveling etc. Really wasy to zero in as well. And of course there is the lifetime warranty. Do not think will even need to use it....

Great Fit for My Remington 700 BDL

by Mickey, from United States, NJ Written on July 30, 2014
The rifle's almost 35 years old, but not very used. Easily mounted the scope using the Remington 19425 mid height rings and base set for the 700.

Love the fit up and will test the results this weekend. I have litte doubt of the results....

Great Scope for the Money

by Boat, from United States, MO Written on July 27, 2014
This scope is perfect for those who are looking for a nice clear scope without breaking the bank. I recommend this scope to all of my buddies who are weekend warriors and don't get to shoot a lot. Even if you do shoot a lot and are not a stickler or see a need for high end optics this is the scope for you. Perfect for Midwest deer rifles....

Great Scope at a Great Price-cant beat a leupold!

by yankee22fan, from United States, TN Written on July 20, 2014
Purchased this scope and Leupold mounts for my Remington 700 270Win. After bore sighting, I made final adjustments at the range. I am zeroed at 200 yards, and this is by far the best scope Iv had on this or any other gun, and you can't beat it for the price! The glass is very clear, scope holds zero (even after it falling out of the safe onto concrete). After 2-300 rounds out of the 270, zero has not moved. If you are considering this, go for it. Glass is much more clear than the VX-1s and is a better buy, in my opinion, than spending hundreds more for features you don't really need. Hope to see a deer through this thing in the fall! Not to mention optics planet is the only place to shot for glass, free shipping & it is lightning quick....

Can't Beat it for the Money

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TN Written on April 9, 2014
My wife ordered this for me for my birthday last year, and it was defiantly the best gift ever! Great scope, highly recommend it! Very clear, even in low light situations. Holds zero very well, even after dropping it and hitting it against a tree (hunting in the snow). You won't be disappointed!
