This is a 1 to 4 power scope with a wide crosshair. I am using it on my KelTec Sub 2K carbine rifle as a target and hunting scope. It seems good up to 100 yds which is about the limit of my 40 S&W cartridge. A very good quality scope. I have not used it hunting yet.

Sits nicely on my No 1 .458. At 1x it is a little strange to see the barrel so clearly, but it lets you know if your are canting! ha ha. The 4x is more than adequate for any big game that fits the .458's maximum range. Was please how bright it was for such a small objective. Leupold quality glass wins again.

I did a lot of research on similiar magnifications/objective sizes with other manufacturer's products and decided that the minor cost to upgrade to a Leupold would be worth it. I was right. The reticle is heavy (as advertised); excellent for <75 yards, but if you get out much further and it starts to cover the bulls-eye... Overall very satisfied. Will definiteley consider another leupold product for my next scope.
