Great scope for my AR15 rifle. Glass is crisp and clear. Perfect for low light conditions, and mid range distances from 15 to 75 yards. Fire Dot is fast acquire. Could not be happier with quality and performance.
Easy to mount and zero....

Awesome scope. I have it mounted on my Winchester model 70. I used it on my bear hunt in Canada and it was great in low light, and presented a clear visual picture and I loved the red fire dot feature....

Top Notch

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, GA Written on June 15, 2014
I really liked the excellent clarity of this scope. It wasn't real easy to set up and sight in, but got the job done. I also really like the reticle and the adjustable brightness red dot feature. This scope works well in both close range and medium distance operations.
Pros: Excellent Clarity, great reticle
Cons: doesn't come with a quick mount system...

Great AR scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, OR Written on May 18, 2014
A typical quality Leupold product. I wish the low power setting was a true 1x instead of 1.25x, however that is a small matter as the scope does its job well.
Pros: well made & eassy to use
Cons: zero reset is by use of allen wrench...

VX-R Patrol Awesome!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TX Written on March 19, 2014
I was originally hesitant about buying it because it is 1.25X min magnification, but it honestly hasn't bothered me. The glass is excellent, the Firedot is very bright and adjustment easy to use. The tactical style turrets have firm, positive clicks and aren't as easily moved as I thought they'd be. The Mk2 IMS mount is simple, lightweight and durable. Unless you absolutely need a QD mount, get this. Overall, it's been the perfect addition to my AR-15.
Pros: Bright Dot, Great Glass
Cons: Not true 1X, 2.5 mil hashmarks random....

Home Run From Leupold!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TX Written on February 26, 2014
I love this optic; the turret adjustments are very tactile and although not capped, are not as easily moved as I thought so they won't be moved off zero easily. The reticle is stupid easy to use although the included instruction manual could be a bit better. The 10 mil circle is as wide as an IPSC (man-sized) target at 50 yds. The Firedot is VERY bright, like an Aimpoint and adjusting it with the push button is much easier than I thought. Overall this is a very short, VERY lightweight (almost half the weight of the Burris MTAC and Vortex Viper PST) optic.
Pros: Lightweight, durable, easy to use

Solid well made scope

Excellent scope for the money. If you can't (like me) afford a Trijicon scope you will not be disappointed with this scope. Easy to sight in and the optics are top notch.
Pros: Leupold quality
