Leupold quality, as always

by Bighorn, from United States, CO Written on August 29, 2014
Leupold scopes are in my opinion the absolute best value for the money available.
Use them on rifles up to and including .300 and .375 magnum caliber rifles, with no failures whatsoever.
The Duplex reticles are clearly seen even in low-light conditions, and visibility in poor light is exceptional.
I would recommend Leupold VX3 variables for almost any application....

This is the best scope I have owned

by lasetor55, from United States, VA Written on July 30, 2014
I have owned many Leupold scopes, and this has become my new favorite. It is the #1 Leupold I have owned. The field of view on the 2.5-8 is spectacular. My gunsmith recommended I try this scope, and he gave me solid advice. Highly recommend this scope....

Nice scope

by Bill, from United States, CA Written on July 30, 2014
This is a very nice scope for the price. Clear, accurate, repeatable zero. I do wish they offered other reticles on this scope Pthan what they do. I love the TMR on my Mark 4, I would even prefer a mildot to the Boone and Crocket, but you get what you can afford as the Mark 4 is double the price of this scope.......
Pros:
  • Price
  • Clarity
  • Leupold reliability
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Self defense

Excellent Low-Mount, Lightweight Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AL Written on January 15, 2014
I mounted this on a .270 Win Winchester Model 70 Featherweight with low RVF Leupold dual dovetail mounts. The fit is absolutely perfect and the scope looks like it is made for the rifle. It is expensive compared to other brands that are of similar quality, however Leupold's customer service and warranty are excellent; you are paying for support over the lifetime of the scope. Clarity is excellent, it holds zero, and looks great. Take a look at the alumina covers for it as well.
Pros: Warranty, aesthetics, low mounting
Cons: Comparatively expensive (you get what you pay for)...

Leupold Rocks!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on October 24, 2013
Once again, Leupold had exactly what I wanted in a scope. I put this on a Ruger #1 in .375 Ruger. It looks great and functions flawless, just like all my other Leupolds. They aren't the cheapest, but you really do get what you pay for.
Pros: Quality optics, Warranty, Dependability
Cons: Cost...

Lightweight Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on October 20, 2013
This model at 11.4oz is the lightest weight quality 'zoom' scope that I could locate; great for a carry rifle.
Also class leading are:
the wide (2x) power which is perfect for getting a sight picture on moving animals in thick woods,
the generous eye-relief range means that the scoped rifle will suit a wide-range of hunters (great for families),
and the ability to mount the scope low for quick cheek-welds complements the whole fast to sight package that is a by-product of the eye-relief 2-power 36mm Objective combination.
Pros: Lightweight, generous eye-relief range, mounts low, 2x power
Cons: doesn't have illuminated reticle...

Have only been able to use once while sighting in, I was surprised at how bright and clear the image was. The scope just screams American made quality....

I mounted this with the QD rings on a Winchester Model 70 375. The scope has been flawless. Easily withstands the recoil. Additionally, the QD mount is easy to remove and put back on and still holds zero. Great value for the money.
Pros: excellent glass
Cons: none...
