I'm brand new to the world of telescopic viewing. I bought this telescope due to the fact that I had a budget of $200, and I was going to use it at the school that I teach at. The setup was easy, but the usability is not something I was expecting. I set up the telescope so I could take pictures of the moon. I found the correct angles and tightened the knobs so the telescope would stay in position. As I reached for my camera, I noticed the telescope slowly moving down. I found my position and tightened everything again and the same thing occurred. I, then, had to try to hold the telescope in place and try to take a picture. As I am trying to take a picture, the eyepieces fall out. I thought it was a noob mistake, but sure enough, the knobs to tighten didn't do their job. There is too much hassle with this telescope. I have been out on 3 different occasions, all with the same difficulties.

Looking through the telescope, I can see everything just fine, and the moon looked spectacular, but I'm sure you can see the moon just as clearly with a better telescope. I wish I could just return it and get a different one, but the telescope is no longer in its original packaging, which is frustrating. I would gladly get a different telescope.
Pros: Nice looking, lightweight, came with a carrying case
Cons: tightening knobs don't hold eyepieces or telescope in place very well....
Would recommend: No
