Good But Lacking

by Bob, from United States, NY Written on November 3, 2014
I was a little dissappointed that the latest version of the Lyman Loading Manual does not have loads for some of the more exotic cartridges that have come into favor. Though I would not expect them to have exotic wildcats, ones that have become not only more common, but that are offered as factory rounds like the 6.5x47, 6mmBR and 6.5x284 are all noticably missing.

Still a great reference for the old tried and true calibers, but one must remember that the .25-06 and .22-250 where once Wildcats as were many other drivations of the .308 and .30-06 case....

Easy to use but not complete

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on March 10, 2013
This is my first reloading manual and I was hoping to get something more complete. There are a lot of loads in the book but missing some of the powder and bullet combinations I was looking at using. However, for the price it is hard not to put this one on your reference shelf.
Pros: points out most accuate loads
Cons: missing some powders/bullets ect....

Lyman did a good job on this book

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, IN Written on January 13, 2013
While it's not a 'great' reloading manual, it is very good. I also use a Lee manual, and between the 2 of them, I get the results I need. I did notice that the Lyman book loads slightly lower on some calibers, than does the Lee book. If you're just starting to reload, this is a must for your library....
