Top Value Go Bag for My Dollar

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on January 29, 2012
I'm glad I traded up to this bag. It is large enough for my iPad and all accessories; my CCW, camera, and necessaries. The molley attachment points expand my capacity by 100%. I simply add the utility pouches to either side of the main compartment. The description is right on. The main carry strap is plenty long for a large man like me. It fits in any overhead space or conveniently under an airline seat with room for your feet to spare.
Pros: Rugged, top quality, Spacious, YKK zipper closures...

Maxpedition Colossus Versipack

Simply top notch QUALITY from all the angles. I already have their Sitka Gearslinger and it is awesome. I chose this colossus since it is slightly smaller for lighter loads, and especially since it will work well with either shoulder where others would not.
Pros: Works great for either shoulder
Cons: None...

Great bag

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NH Written on March 27, 2010
I wanted a bag to carry my netbook and associated gear plus CCW ability. This bag fit the job perfectly. I carry the netbook (should fit most 10" netbooks fine), charger, optical drive along with my full size S&W M&P40 w/light, 2 extra mags, small first aid kit, case for glasses, knife and a cig lighter in this bag alone with space to spare. Add pouches to the Molle and it can carry much more. Lengthened the zipper pull cords for the pistol and mag pockets for quicker access. The belt loop should be great to keep it from swinging around while running or on a motorcycle.
Pros: Lots of space for the things I needed it for,
Cons: Velcro takes up space that should have Molle instead. No carry handle for when you want to hand carry...

Colossos as EDC Survival Pack

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TX Written on February 8, 2010
I bought the Colossus for EDC support. I am a long haul trucker who did not have enough hands or pockets to carry everything I need to survive away from my truck. I have added an M-5 waistpack as a first aid kit, two H-1 waistpacks to carry my blood sugar tester and camera, a 10" X 4" water bottle holder, an M-2 waistpack for my Blackberry and all my credit and ID cards, a Janus pack for the length (I am 6'8") and to carry my other glasses. With this set-up I can carry my Day-Timers wallet size, poncho, spare batteries, lunch, emergency sugar, snacks and still have dedicated spots for a Leatherman, small flashlight, pens etc. This set-up frees me to get away from the truck for daytrips when I am on a layover. I am no longer at the mercy of others!
Pros: VERSATILE, roomy, flexible, easy to carry
Cons: none I can think of...
