Multi-use mag holder

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AL Written on September 21, 2013
Pleasantly surprised with the solid construction, yet flexibility of the mag holder. Ordered two, one for the pack and one for the molie.
Pros: Multi-use, holds multiple mag sizes
Cons: None...

Not "universal"

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 21, 2013
The Sneak is well made and appears to be top quality materials. I have a wide range of handguns and since I was skeptical of their description "universal" I called maxpedition before ordering to ask what range of weapon and magazine sizes the Sneak would accommodate. The pictures on the website show what appears to be a blue training replica of the Glock / Beretta large frame style of weapon so I specifically asked maxpedition about a 1911 and an LCP.380. After the very courteous call taker put me on hold to ask someone "who would know for sure" they returned and assured me that it would handle both weapons and magazines. The 1911 pistol fits fine, the LCP will fit if you fold the strap almost completely around itself. This will completely cover up the magazine strap, which really doesn't matter because unless you have a double stack magazine, 9mm or larger, the keeper is way too loose. My 1911 mag falls through without making any pretense of being held in place. I put two 1911 magazines side by side in the magazine loop and they were reasonably secure. Of course if you pull one of the magazines out, the other falls through the loop. I submitted a review to the maxpedition website similar to this but it has not been posted by them. I don't think they post ANY reviews that are not positive. Either that, or I am the only person to ever submit a negative review because I checked almost every product on their website and could not find one single negative review on any item.

Maxpedition SNEAK HOLSTER INSERT

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on January 14, 2013
Easy to fit in Maxpedition bag, but will not adjust small enough to hold my J frame S&W model 60 revolver. At its smallest, revolver fits in so far as to cover entire trigger guard. Makes drawing near impossible.Same for Glock 26 subcompact. Loose and sloppy fit at its tightest, not secure enough to prevent slippage.
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Will not adjust small enough for small revolvers...
