Pros:  Easy to use, good optics
Cons:  light weight tripod

I purchased as a second telescope. It's my Grab-and-Go, though it would make a perfect starter scope too. The tripod is light, which is great for carrying but not so great for viewing. I hang a plastic jug filled with water using a small bungee cord under the accessory tray. This extra weight REALLY helps to steady the mount.

Pros:  easy to use/ good traveling companion
Cons:  vibrates too easily

for my first buy, i would say that i did pretty well. the price was more than reasonable, which allowed me to buy additional eyepieces, barlow lense, and filters. but i cant wait to buy a 120mm - 150mm refractor! when the price is right however!
