Pros:  sturdy, perfect match to ETX 90(older model)
Cons:  cost
Would recommend:  yes

wtheurer wrote:

Always wanted a sturdy tripod for the telescope, tried many types that worked with my SLR/DSLR, however nothing seemed to be sturdy enough. Finally i settled to the fact that i had to purchase one specifically designed for the ETX 90 telescope(original model) and I was glad I did. Sturdy and ideal fit for the telescope and seems to be very robust.

I had the same problem as George. two of the leg clips that hold the legs at the adjusted length broke. Dont know if it was due to cold weather or not. I need to try and replace them if possible.

Pros:  Lightweight
Cons:  Not well made
Would recommend:  no

The tripod was used once, and it worked fine. The next time I had the chance to use it, was about a year later. The lever on the side to tighten up the leg, snapped-out of warranty. The retailer basically siad-tough luck' Get a new one! In other words, this could be an anomaly, but use your scope often before the warranty runs out.
