Great sights overall

by The HUNK, from United States, TX Written on November 19, 2014
These sights are excellent to give your M4/AR-15 iron sights nighttime capability. The four dot rear aiming pattern in particular gives you precise orientation for the front sight to accurately engage targets in low to no light. The only reason that I'm not giving them five stars is that, unlike previous generations of these sights, the front sight was too large to be adjusted by the standard front sight tool, making it a pain to install and zero. But other than this inconvenience, these are very well engineered sights and definitely worth the money....
Pros:
  • Accurate for windage and elevation in low light
  • Front sight is tapered for accurate 300 meter target engagement
  • Bright green on green tritium lasts longer than orange tritium
Cons:
  • Front sight is too large for standard front sight tool, making it a PITA to install
Best Used for:
  • Law Enforcement
  • Home Defense
  • Combat use
  • Nighttime shooting
  • Nighttime hunting

Dont waste your money

by jammie4321, from United States, OR Written on August 29, 2014
These sights first did not fit my troy iron sights. Then I tried to install the front sight and I had to tap out the hole for the sight to fit. After it was installed I took my weapon to the range and the front sight swiveled. I still have not found a solution. Also, the rear sight is not as bright as I expected....

AR - tritium Night Sights - Blade version

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on April 25, 2013
Installation is both a pro and a con. The regular AR sight tool will not work so you have to hold the pin down and turn the sight manually with dental picks or a thin knife. It installed easily enough, just took longer than expected. I have the single dot version on a CAR-15 which installed easily with the sight tool. the four dot rear sight is very helpful in sighting. Good quality unit at a good fair price.
Pros: Easy install, good visibility
Cons: Install...

Great product, beware of fit

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, OH Written on January 29, 2013
This is a great product for your AR style firearm sights IF you have the A2 style rear sight. The tritium is bright, easy to see and the four dots on the rear make alignment quick and easy. However, these DO NOT fit Troy rear sights. I have an A2 carry handle that the Meprolight rear sight fit great and looked fantastic on. Unfortunately, that sight doesn't work with my optic and I wanted to have the tritium on my Troy flip up rear. The Troy windage screw is a larger diameter than the standard A2 screw. I have Meprolight night sights on almost all of my pistols and love them. I might still try to find a way to put this sight on my AR, just not for now.
Pros: Bright, clear, easy to align, well thought out design
Cons: Not clear enough on fit/applications...

Improved my grouping in low light

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on November 16, 2012
I had troubles sighting any target as I as I could not locate the front sight and where it was pointing. It is a requirement if you do not want to spend money on wasted shots.
Pros: hone in on target quicker in low light
Cons: none...
