Pros:  Price, comes with extras (flip up caps, cover)
Cons:  Quality control problems from factory

This is my second TRS-1. Like my first this one: 1.Has accurate parallax/focus knob. At known ranges you don't have to look down the tube just set and it will be in focus. 2. The clicks are positive with good audible and tactile feedback, repeatable, returns to zero, and doesn't drift with recoil. 3. Brightness is not the best (but not bad) but then again this isn't a $3,000 scope you can survey the moon with. I don't own one of those but I've "test driven" them 4. I like the modified mil-dot reticle, it obscures less of your target. Not a fan of illumination (but it's available if you need it). For me, I find myself looking at the pretty green reticle vs. down range. Also at dusk I find my eye adjusting to the brightness of the reticle instead of the dimming light. Plus the glow can be seen from the front of the scope of that is a concern for you. 5. The included velvet scope cover will NOT fit if you use the extended lens hood (that's a shame). The included flip up lens covers is ...

Pros:  Features galore and looks that kill
Cons:  Quality of components and glass
Would recommend:  yes

The Millet Scope was too good to be true; Great looking, filled with tactical adjustments, illuminated and Mil-Dot reticle and capable of long range shooting. Wow! Not so fast, while these are commendable features usually seen in higher price scopes, one could dream that Millet would be the first poor man's tactical eye to dazzle the big boys, but no chance. The first Millet scope I received would not allow the elevation to move past center, no matter what I did. Binding sounds could be heard during windage and elevation checks. After experiencing severe bleeding on the illuminated reticle I gave up and requested an exchange. I received the second scope from Optics Planet who provided great costumer service. All features on the second scope appeared to work and function well enough for range testing. The scope received plenty of attention at the range simply by its shear good looks. However, after shooting nearly 200 rounds through my AR10 over the course of 3 hours, I came to the ...

Picked up this scope based on many reviews and it is really good. Holds up to .308 and can accurately tell distances with the mildot. Love the locking adjustments and the Side Focus Knob.

Cons:  Windage and Elevation Dials
Would recommend:  yes

Although I had done a lot of reading and research on scopes for my Savage FCP-K .308, I was a little sketpical that a scope priced for around $300 was not going to stand up against names like Leupold, Nikon or Vortex. However, when you actually handle this scope and actually use it, it will most assuredly change your opinion of what a $300 scope can do. First, the feel of the scope of very impressive and has a very solid feel to it. The weight might be an issue for some as compared to other higher end scopes, but overall this gives a feel that the scope is designed for durability. The optics on this scope are truly amazing for the money. I would easily compare this against a Leupold Mark IV and tell you that there is hardly a difference in the optical clarity between the two. As for precision and holding zero, the scope once again performs amazingly. I do like the feature of the dial locks that allows you to easily lock and unlock your windage and elevation dials for quick use. ...

Mounted this on my Browning Xbolt .300WSM during this past hunting season. Beefy for sure but looks excellent sitting upon a very powerful rifle. Killed 2 does on last day of the season with both being heart shots. One from 80yds while sitting on the ground, the other out to 100yds from a ladderstand. Both shots were placed at the top of the front shoulder and into the heart...deer didn't move a foot. Scope held zero even with the kick of this rifle. .300WSM plus this Millett scope equals QUICK KILL!
