Great scope for the price

by codemannwo, from United States, LA Written on August 20, 2014
Bought this to go deer hunting last year and bagged 2 bucks and 4 does. It does the job and you cannot beat the price. The only con would be that if you forget to tighten the dials when you are dialing in elevation and R/L, it won't hold true. Also, you must tap the dials to ensure that your clicks engage. Its a pain at first but after you used to doing it it doesn't matter....
Pros:
  • Price, performance and warranty
Cons:
  • Need to tap dials to ensure clicks
Best Used for:
  • hunting and shooting

Great scope

by Jlind, from United States, NC Written on August 15, 2014
This is a great scope, very smooth and mounts great! Little to no hassle with installation! The 4 power allows great distance for the scope! The dials operate smoothly unlike other scopes I've used! This would be a perfect scope on rifles meant for either long-medium ranges. This is a verge well made scope that is pretty inexpensive....

Millet 4x16 Scope

by Red, from United States, OK Written on August 3, 2014
I received this scope took it out of the box, was pleased to see the size and toughness of this scope. Mounted it on my 308 modular chassis rifle walked out to my 500 yard range. After a few quick sight in shots and 50 yards I shot a group at 100 yards formed a box pattern with the scope returning to zero each time, the at 500 yards with my custom loads it grouped tight and right on each time I did a reset of the scope....

Millet 4-16x50 tactical scope

by WAHLMAN 223, from United States, AZ Written on July 31, 2014
I replace a Nikon M223 on my AR 15 with this Millett scope. Installation and setup was very easy. I like the Optics better on the Millett. Bore sited with 223 laser at 50 yards went to the range same day setup target at 50 yards. The first 3 shots where dead on center. Set a target at 100 yards 1st shot was 1/2" below bulls eye 2 clicks on elevation 3 more shots dead on again windage was perfect never had to adjust. Set up target at 300 yards 4 shots 3/4" low from center 3 clicks on elevation back on center never had to adjust windage again. This Millett scope was easy to sight in. I like the tall turrets parallax adjustment was great. The clarity at full power on scope was good at 300 yards. All my group shots where 1/2" to 3/4" this is on my reloaded 223 with 77gr. match bullet. I have Millet Long range scopes on my 50 Cal sniper rifle and AR 10. Very happy with the Millett scopes.

I had no issue with Nikon scope just wanted to try the Millett on my AR 15. Its is very good choice very impress with Millett scopes. If are thinking of buying Millett scope you will not be disappointed....
Pros:
  • Excellent scope for the money
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Long range/prone shots

Feature packed

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 16, 2014
A great rifle scope for the money. I did research by reading blogs from LEA snipers, DOD snipers, ect and came up with the features a rifle should have. Then I compared products with price and this was the best deal. Bushnell owns this company but it's still good quality. I use this scope on my savage arms 10BA, .308 caliber. I'll see if the scope is able to maintain the zero next time I shoot. I do enjoy the click for the 10x magnification so I don't take my eyes off the target. Don't forget the 30 mm rings.
Pros: Sturdy build, great features for price, good glass quality
Cons: Rear sight flip cover easily comes off...

Great scope for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, PA Written on June 22, 2014
This is a good entry level scope for long range shooting. The glass is good when compared to others in its price range. The illumination is nice and works well. The turret clicks are not very precise. The adj. eye doesn't have a lock ring and it wobbles quite a bit when turned out. The image does move with they eyepiece. Not sure how much it was affecting accuracy but it can't be good. When on the highest magnification the glass seems to get a little cloudy and the eye relief becomes very sensative. Overall decent scope with lots of features for the price.
Pros: Lots of features
Cons: Non locking eyepiece ...

Millett TRS-1 4-16X - 50mm on a Savage .308

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on April 11, 2014
I mounted this scope on a savage 10 FCP-SR .308, with Burris XTR Low rings and an EGW steel picatinny base. Ended up perfect, low as possible without contacting the barrel, about a 1/4" clearance.

This scope is a great value, very clear glass and rock solid construction. Included flip caps are a little cheap. The larger objective lens does not fit Butler Creek covers. I bought both the size 43 and 44, they are too small and too big. The smaller (eye side) fits the Butler Creek listed on the Millett website.

It is somewhat heavy but this is not a scope you buy for light rifles anyway. It has a better manual available free on the Millett website.

Definitely worth the money, especially if you don't want to spend a grand+ on a rifle scope.
Pros: Awesome Overall Value!
Cons: A little hazy at high maginfication 14X+...

For the price you can't beat it!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on February 18, 2014
I've spent six times as much on a scope that I wasn't as happy with. The glass is clear right up to the 15X which is good enough for me at this price. It may seem heavy to some but I've got it on a heavy barrel Savage so maybe that's why I don't notice it. Shooting quarter sized groups at 200 yds & that's better than I usually do with anything.
Pros: Price, durability, brightness........
Cons: Don't use iton highest magnification....

Good Low Price Tactical Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on February 10, 2014
If this scope was available with a 0-800 yard trajectory compensating turret for the 7.62x51 Nato 168 gr HPBT load similar to the one offered on the Nikon M-308 Nikoplex Model I would have rated this scope all 5s. As it is right now more pricice trajectory adjustments are possible, but needlessly tedious.

Pros: The right product at the right price
Cons: Chepo lens covers...
