The instructions say to tighten the mounting screws to "approximately 60-70 inch pounds". I used a torque screwdriver to install the screws, so i know i was not overtightening. While tightening the third screw, the head of the screw broke off. I had to undo the remaining screws to remove the mount and then unscrewed what was left of the broken screw. The excessive torque had deformed the screw holes in the mount. The screws won't even fit through holes now. I did some research and found that many people suggest about 20inch-pounds for mounting a scope rail with a #6-48 thread size. This was my first time using this type of mounting rail. I assumed that i could trust the manufacturers instructions! I'll contact opticsplanet and let them know about the problem. I have yet to determine if the rifle was damaged. Seems like a pretty big screwup in the instructions. Millet is going to get earfull!
Cons: Manufacturer has faulty instructions.
