Bullets in a Box

by HotRod, from United States, TX Written on March 9, 2015
This is an awesome product. Going to the range has never been easier. Just load up 15 mags of your favorite .223 or 556 loads and head off to the range. It can accommodate 20rd mags and well as 30rd mags.
Well built, very sturdy. Wish I have thought of this myself....
Pros:
  • Holds 450 rd ammo
  • convienient
  • Easy Access
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting
  • Competition Shooting
  • Bulk Storage

It works good enough

by josh, from United States, MN Written on March 9, 2015
It will hold 19 mags if you lay 4 down in between the rows of the other mags. If you use ranger plates on gen 2 pmags you can only store 9 on the opposite side of the handle due to the way the lid is mad ....

Great for my MagPul mags

by hornsfan, from United States, TX Written on March 2, 2015
Loaded and stacked 30 rd MagPul mags with no problems. Box is sturdy enough to hold all of that with no issues. Granted, I just purchased this so durability hasn't been tested but so far so good. Bought it on sale so no complaints about the price....

Great AR mag storage

by Darrell, from United States, WA Written on February 24, 2015
This can is a common size to MTMs other similar ammo cans which makes for nice storage options if you have both AR mags and loose ammo of other calibers. It'd be nice if there were some configuration options to drop the total magazine count in favor of storing extra boxed ammo in the same case without losing the volume occupied by the unused foam. Otherwise great product....

Great for the range.

by TheBad, from United States, FL Written on February 17, 2015
I bought a few of these to load up, and store away. They are great cases, built pretty good, but they are plastic. I think they work great for loading up a bunch of mags to go to the range with. For storage, I would stick to ammo cans. I have found that I can put an extra 5 mags in each box, by laying mags sideways in between the standing mags. If the bottom mag holder have been designed better you could have probably put up to 10 more mags in this case....

Awesome product!

by glug, from United States, CA Written on February 8, 2015
Love having all my mags in one easily accessible hard can. No more digging through endless zippered/velcro pouches searching for mags and forgetting what is where. Liked it so much I bought a second one....

Sturdy and holds a lot.

by spacecoaster, from United States, FL Written on December 31, 2014
Nothing special, but it does what it says. It is your standard polymer stacking ammo can, with a handy, removable, foam insert. One thing to be aware of, AR magazines in .22 are thinner than the 5.56mm/.223 magazines, and fit loosely in the insert. I usually put about 5 loaded mags in the case, and use the rest of the room for boxed ammo. Works well....

MTM Tactical Mag Can

by Bluewater361, from United States, TX Written on November 19, 2014
I wanted a way to safely and efficiently store and transport loaded mags as well as have different loads maintained separately or otherwise more easily identified. This was a great solution to my need. At first, it seemed to have a lot of wasted space with the foam insert, but with loaded mags, the weight isn't too much for the handle and the mags don't rattle around on each other like they do in a regular box without the foam insert....

MTM Tactical Mag Can

by g, from United States, FL Written on November 14, 2014
This is exactly what I was looking for. It keeps your mag's nice and neat and prevents them from getting scratched up. The can allows me to load the magazines at home and bring them to the range ready to go. Although not waterproof, it does keep your ammo and magazines dry from your inadvertent rain shower....
