As far as the microscope world goes 400x is not all that impressive, but this microscope is pretty awesome. The 20x view gives you a crystal clear close up view of any object you put under it. Very interesting for all objects around you. The 400x view can be a little tricky to focus, but you can see details that you have never seen before, The microscopic world around us is pretty surreal. It is not powerful enough to see individual cells, but it is a fun little scope, and its also cool that you can take pictures easily to your computer. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I had a microscope when I was a kid. This takes me back to those good old days when I would run around the house finding things to put under the scope. This digital microscope allows me to look at things that wouldn't be able to fit under a regular microscope. There is a whole other world all around we are not even aware of. I am fifty years old, and am having a blast. Thanks for a great product.

I bought this to help me see tiny electronic circuits I write software for. Sometimes I need part numbers and in the past I had to use a bright light and some kind of magnifier. This tool lets me easily capture and store still images of very small components. My only gripe is that the still image button, marked "CLICK" on top of the device, is either faulty or ignored by the software. I sometimes have to make several attempts at pressing it to capture an image. Otherwise, this is an incredible tool for what I use it for, and for the price, the only problem I've had with mine can be overlooked.
