This light is better than anticipated. When I read in the description 1 watt, i become skeptical. The unit has a white very bright blinding light. It runs off of 1 3 volt Lithium battery. The unit from front to rear is 3 inches long and 1&5/8ths from top to bottom. It has a tactical bezel head that warrants caution because of the sharp edges. Pros:  Switch located close to trigger - easy to find in the dark
Cons:  Was very difficult to slide onto my M&P.
