NC Star ATPRLS Pistol Laser Sight w/ Weaver Style Base

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TX Written on March 5, 2010
I put it on my .45acp Ruger model 345. Shot fifty rounds of 230 grain mil. spec. ammo. It still works. To turn on push switch from right to turn with your right index finger so it works best if you are right handed. Windage and elevation screws hold settings but mounting screw loosens so Locktight mounting screw and it will work fine.

While tightening the cross screw be sure to push forward on the laser sight because that is the direction the recoil will try to move it.
Pros: Great if you shoot with your right hand
Cons: mounting screw loosens unless you use Locktight on it....

NC Star ATPRLS laser sight

Didn't fall apart upon 1st firing as other reviewers have noted, but after mounting on a 40 cal Sig 229 and firing a few rounds the laser light no longer functioned. I wouldn't trust this thing to help defend my family.
Cons: lousy product...

ASU Hunter

Pass this up. I know it's hard for the price, but I put this on a Taurus 24/7 Pro .40 cal and within 5 shots the laser was 3 feet off and traveling with each additional shot. Then the internal pieces broke so I could not adjust it. NcStar's CSR is great, but it's not worth the money. Get something better. ...

Pass this one up!

Paid $70.00 for this and had it installed on a Taurus 24/7 Pro 9 MM at the gunshop. I took it to the range where it shattered into at least 20 pieces after just 6 rounds. I would only recommend this to be used on an airsoft or pellet gun, but there are better lasers available even for that application. Save your money and pass this one up. It's a POS!

Installed this on a CZ P-01 9mm handgun. Went through 6 shots before the laser internals broke and was off center by at least 5 feet at 7 yards. This item would be fantastic for airsoft or BB guns... any application where heavy recoil is not a problem. Rock solid my a.... Good thing american express covers broken items within the first month of purchase.
