The P4 rangefinding reticle is real nice for holdovers and with a little math or a quick reference table you can use it for rangfinding. The field of view of the 4x version is about 3 feet in diameter at a 25 foot distance to the target. IMO that's still funtional at in home self defense distances and that's why I put this scope on my home defense carbine. If a ZOMBIE invasion happens, the 4x magnification and p4 reticle will make brain shots at 100 yds much easier. It's a great little scope for the money!
