Very Decent Rifle Bag

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on July 2, 2013
Not just for the AR crowd, this bag fits long guns very well, with plenty of room for other stuff. Zippers work well and are abundant--creating more compartments than expected. Fabric seems tough, camo is nicely done. I redid the shoulder straps so the rifle is carried butt-down for better balance. No other quibbles or irritations.
Pros: Better than Expected
Cons: Price seems to fluctuate--wait for a drop!...

Good dragbag for the money

It's probably not the best one out there but for the money it's good enough.
Pros: zippers seem heavy duty, padding seems adequate...

Nice Drag Bag

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 19, 2011
I received the bag about 4 days ago (mine is in ACU patern)and have loaded my gear in it. However, I have not taken it up to the field so the review is based on first impressions. During my initial inspection I found the brand label, NcStar. The features of this bag are great. Back pack straps are good and even though they are not detachable they tuck nicely in a dedicated compartment. Storage is plentiful; the outside has 4 roomy pockets, three of which have securing straps inside. So far I have placed 2 bipods, spotting scope, tripod, small cleaning kit, and log book with room to spare. The interior is well padded with securing straps on both sides. The straps although did not match up to the best tie down spots on my Remington 700 SPS varmint. The padding seemed a little heavy at the zippers, which is better protection a weak spot, but make she zipper a little difficult to use smoothly. The interior accessory pocket is about right size for a box of .308 ammo. Another great feature is the large amount webbing loops, which I laced with 550 cord be able to cinch down other gear to the bag. The web loops also allows for plenty of places to attach ghille garnish.
I did notice some quality issues though. Zippers do seem heavy duty and have dual pulls, however 1 pull was missing from its slider, which was easily replaced from some spares I had on hand. Also, some of the stitching holding the Pal Webbing is weak. Ill have to be cautious adding Molle pouches.
In conclusion ...

Great Gun Bag,Well Made,Durable,Easy To Use

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on February 15, 2011
This bag is plenty durable enough to use hunting and going to the rage. It is very well made and easy to use. The O.D. Green Color is of a lighter nature, so blending in with my other camo options during hunting is a breeze. Not so if it would have been darker. I like the way they made the backpack staps, and the duffle strap is a big plus, having a steel d-ring on each side of the zipper. I had one a long time ago that didn't do that, and the weight of my equipment peeled the zipper open. So I like this design better. The only dowside I can see, is I can't wear my boonie cap while backpacking it, the brim hits the bag behind me. Also watch for old dried out brittle limbs, the bag will rest just over your head while backpacking, pulling those itchy, scratchy, awfull little bits and pieces right down the back of your shirt. But hey if thats all I can find to complain about, I got no worries. It will fit two rifles well, but I really would need to remove my forward grip from the AR to make this roomy enough for the 2.5-10X56mm scope that is on my .270 bolt rifle. I doubt seriously I will ever carry two rifles in the bag, as my AR weighs in a heafty 12-14lbs with all the accessories on it and that big stainless douglas barrel. My .270 with the big fat scope weighs just around 8 lbs. Thats too much weight for me to lug around anywhere, but the bag can certainly handle it.
Pros: This bag is built well, easy to access the pockets, Zippers work very well, Snaps work very well
