Pros:  well designed
Cons:  easily worn out
Would recommend:  no

StiffNeckedPharaoh wrote:

To make a long story short, this laser is well designed. Four screw windage/elevation system locks the laser tightly in position. But these four tiny screws do not last. Those tiny holes on the back of the screws where you insert the Allen wrench quickly wear out, even before the laser was really sighted in. I have not been able to obtain replacement screws from NcStar despite numerous attempts. Therefore, if you can sight it in really fast, buy it. Since I need more precision and need longer time to sight in, I won't buy another one.

A very simple setup. Attached to your rail and make the necessary adjustments. Especially easy when used with a bore sight laser

overall it was a good lazer except the adjustibilty for setting the lazer was a little iffey but overall a good lazer with no problems i believe nc star needs to make a switch cap for button use at extra cost for more options and functionality.

I purchased two units. one for my Walther P22 and the other for a Hi-Point 40cal. It is sweet on the Walther and really takes a hammering on the Hi-Point. I have had NO problems with them and they keep the mark once dialed in. I would highly recommend this unit to my best friend.

NCStar Laser with Pressure Pad

Product Ratings:
Overall rating:
4 / 5

Features:5 / 5
Meets expectations:5 / 5
Usability:5 / 5
Value for your money:5 / 5

Pros:  Bright, easy to install, pressure pad gives multiple mounting options
Cons:  Tricky to align.
Would recommend:  yes

Eight wrote:

THe NCStar laser was a surprise - better quality than I expected in a low end laser. It's bright and rugged enough for hard range work but not kicking around. It's mounted on a Benelli M4-1014 shotgun and a POF-USA P308 rifle. Aligning the laser with your sights is somewhat tricky as the adjustment is done via four set screws in opposed pairs. The arrangement is in an X rather than a + so getting elevation or windage only adjustments mean that you have to turn all four screws. It helps if, once signted in, you use blue Loctite on the set screws. It will stay aligned but all four set screws have to be snugged. They take a pounding from the recoil of a 12 Ga. and a .308 but have held up well. Recommended!

Would recommend:  yes

You can't find anything this good for this cheap. Its great for your first laser and air guns. It has a rock solid mount but I wouldn't recommend for serious use on large caliber weapons.
