It's not a bad scope for the money, but consider spending a little more and getting more. I bought this with the mating sun shade, but the scope has no threading to allow to sun shade to be attached. The lens is close to the end of the scope so glare is an issue. Optical clarity is so-so. Eye relief is poor.

Cons:  Range finder, mill dot would be better.

Very surprised at the clarity of the optics. Nothing I found bad as far as fit and finish. Used on 10/22 rimfire up to 100 yards. First five groups < .250" @ 25 yards. Nice appearance, holds zero so far. Bought two more NcStar 8-32X50 and 10-40X50
