Looking for a scope for the Challenger to use for paper target & can punching & the price was right so I figured this was worth givin' a shot, didn't have any problem zeroing in & it's still holding zero after 1,000 rounds, but had to use better rings.

Pros:  Clear view, holds zero
Cons:  Rings.
Would recommend:  yes

I installed this scope on a Ruger 22/45. I've fired about 700 rounds and the scope has maintained zero. The rings leave a little to be desired. They wouldn't sit correctly and appeared canted when tightened. That being said, they held the scopes' zero. I changed them out after about 400 rounds just because they were a distraction.

I didn't expect as much as I got from this scope. It mounted right up and seems to be all that I had hoped for. Optics Planet was a pleasure to do business with and I would recommend the scope and the company. Thanks Optics Planet.

Pros:  Price, clear image.
Cons:  see thorugh lense caps
Would recommend:  yes

The WES wrote:

I wanted a decent scope to run on a "scout" mount. Being that the rifle in question is not slated to be an extreme long distance bench gun, but more of a rugged brush gun I wanted a relatively low powered scope. This fits the bill on all counts. It comes with see through lense caps. These are better than nothing. In use, they darken and blur the image. Although I have tried to clean them, they still look like there is a layer of grease on 'em.

I put this scope on my Ruger 22/45.It seems much better than what people told me it would be.It has very clear optics and seems sturdy.I have not shot my pistol and zeroed it in yet because of time and extreme heat. When I do I will report back about Windage/Elevation adjustability and repeatability.holding zero.

Pros:  Low Cost, Optics Clarity
Cons:  A Little Unrefined
Would recommend:  yes

Eli wrote:

I bought this scope for a scout setup on a Marlin 336W 30/30. I chose it because I was not sure if I wanted to stay with the scout setup and didn't want to drop a lot of $$ on an experiment. NcStar was recommended by a friend so I tried it and am very pleased. It is not as refined as higher-end scopes but that should be expected for the price. But it functions just fine and after ~200 rounds has held up just fine and after repeated removals/re-mounts it is holding zero. The optics clarity is very good. It has a little more paralax than I'm used to but that is as much the setup as the scope but nothing bad enough to holler about. I'm very pleased as this scope far exceeded my expectations for the money. Unless this scope fails sometime in the future, I highly doubt I'll replace it with a higher priced competitor. And OpticsPlanet was great to deal with.

I put the scope on a Marlin 45/70 GG. The rifle scope on conventional mounts broke. The XS Scout rail and this scope make a much more sensible combo.

Pros:  Price, Magnification, 30mm front bell
Cons:  None.
Would recommend:  yes

M wrote:

The NcStar SPB2530B is a nice scope and just what I was looking for. An inexpensive and slightly, "more" scope than I have on my other 2 air pistols. It does not state that is air gun rated so I guess only time will tell there. Spring piston air guns have a unique, "whiplash" type recoil in that they actually recoil forward for a micro second and then they snap rearward. My 2 other scopes are the very traditional 2X20mm pistol scopes and they are "OK" but I wanted a bit more. This air gun that it is mounted on now is considerably more potent than my other 2 (Browning 800 Magnum vs the 2 Beeman P1's) so I want to shoot a bit further and the extra magnification and larger front optic compared to my other scopes would do nicely I thought. I wasn't wrong at all! The scope has good clarity, power and field of view. All in all I am very satisfied with it, especially considering the price.

Pros:  good eye relief for a scout rifle
Cons:  has a bit of parallax
Would recommend:  yes

sks911 wrote:

Works well on my SKS with a scout scope mount, low power still allows for quick target acquisition but is more accurate than irons. It does have a small amount of parallax but since it's so far away from your eye it doesn't really affect POI as much as a standard scope.
