I was traveling on a night cruise recently on a rainy night and I had the 3X Waterproof Night Vision Monocular 3.1x in my backpack, forgotten. I pulled it out of my bag and viewed the distant darkness. I could see very clearly the waves and other things in the dark. This is a very cool product and I hope Optics Planet continues to sell this product. I highly recommand it.

This unit was replacing a 15 y/o AT&T monocular that had clean crisp imagery, and had great depth of vision. This unit isn't effect much beound yoru nose for a crisp impage and while the IR feature sounds good, it doesn't improve the clarity. I'm not impressed with the unit at all. Perhaps if I spent more I'd have gotten more, but this unit isn't woth the price I paid by a logn shot.
